DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT

So this was made and released during a time that I feel was (barely) right before social media really changed the world. YouTube had been around a few years at this point, but it hadn't yet turned into the ad-fueled, ego-stroking, clout-chasing monstrosity of a platform that it is today. Back then, even in 2009, you could still find honest pieces of actual work. Sure, you had to sift through a ton of bullshit, but this was really the last time I feel there was some semblance of honesty on YouTube. I would actually revisit this ideal years later with Won't You Be Mine? (2024).

I had this listed as Private on YouTube for a few years, well after the initial release. It was one of those things where I felt I had changed so much since then, that I couldn't relate to it anymore. But it was an achievement for myself, Edmond, and Bakia. So it is what it is (with my government name, copywritten music, shitty 480p quality and all).
